I am a sucker for movies that are inspiring and that moves me. Rocky was one of my favorites growing up as a kid, and when they came out with Rocky Balboa, I was like…enough already. I must admit, I enjoyed it

.

“Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place. And I don’t care how tough you are. It will beat you to your knees and keep you permanently there if you let it” “You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life, but it ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done”
“Now if you know what you are worth, go out and get what you are worth, but you gotta be willing to take the hits and not pointing fingers, saying you ain’t where you want to be because of him or her or anybody. Cowards do that, and that ain’t you. You’re better than that”

We are either getting Better or Worse….we are either moving Forward or Backwards.

We are 2/3 way to the end of the year. Funny how time flies.

Have you achieved your fitness goal you set in the beginning of the year?

Perhaps, you have surpassed it and are in the best shape of your life! If that’s the case Congratulations and Keep It Up!

Or, did you start and fall off the fitnesswagon and are stagnant or worse case, struggling and in worse shape then the start of the year?

You can have a workout plan designed by the best trainer in the world, a sound nutrition meal plan designed by the best dietitian in the world and still not get any results.

Why?

Albert Eistien said it best….”Nothing Happens Until, Something Moves!”

That’s not only related physically, but more importantly, Mentally. Everything starts in the Mind. You have to have the Right Mindset to achieve ANYTHING in life.

A fitness colleague Craig Ballytine, creator of one of the best fitness info product Turbulence Training interviews Bill Phillips on his New book TRANSFORMATION:

Bill talks about the importance of having the right mindset. He shares what it takes mentally before you see results physically to ultimately change your body and achieve your Overall Best Results. I really enjoyed his interview and learned alot and you will too.
We are coming down to the wire with the year, so get your mind straight so you can get your body tight and achieve your fitness goals.

On September 29, 2009, a deadly 8.0 undersea earthquake struck the Samoa region, resulting in a tsunami that displaced thousands and left scores more dead. Much progress has been made in the rebuilding effort, but they still have a long way to go. Since 2001, the Pacific Islands Center for Educational Development (PiCED), a 501(c)(3) in the territory of American Samoa has mentored and counseled all levels of students in the territory of American Samoa, making good on its mission to build a culture of scholarship, increase the secondary level graduation rate, and increase the percentage of Pacific Islander students who go on to pursue a college education.

In the wake of the tsunami, our most pressing need at the moment is financial assistance towards the rebuilding of the Parent Center and Library at Taputapu Elementary. Towards that end, they have partnered with me and I have graciously agreed to organize a Tennis Charity Fundraiser event upon their behalf.

Why Samoa? I grew up in Pago Pago, Am. Samoa and I still have family and friends living there.

The following are photos of Taputapu Elementary School devasted by the tsunami….
